Nurturing imagination and talent to produce excellence.
Welcome to The Angles Theatre
We are a charity and cultural hub for our community, driven by passion for the work we showcase, the people we work with and the audiences that come through our door each season.
Situated in Fenland, our history dates back to the early 1700’s believed to have been built as part of the Lincoln theatre circuit.
This Georgian playhouse and arts venue, with two studios and bar space, is staffed almost entirely by volunteers, from the box office and bar, to backstage, administration and day-to-day accounting. Our volunteer community is one of our proudest achievements.
The Angles Theatre is part of a collection of local tourist trails and a main attraction when visiting the town.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
At the centre of our theatre is an exceptional community
who work hard and share core values:
Working together to enrich the lives of our community.
Valuing the qualities, and experience of those around us.
Believing in what we do, the people, and the work we create.
Encouraging people to achieve extraordinary things.
The mission of the Angles Theatre is to inspire, challenge, nurture and empower artists and audiences in and around Wisbech and Fenland, to create opportunities for community participation in enriching theatrical experiences.
Our focus is equally on inclusion and quality, giving the public a well-balanced theatrical season with a drive for excellence that meets all of the demands placed on a community theatre.
The Wisbech Theatre Trust is guided by an experienced and dedicated board of trustees consisting of professionals from the business sector, industry professionals and community based organisations.
